QDE-ABM4-SIC is a plug-in type contactless reader/writer which supports ISO14443 type A/B, Mifare, ISO15693, DesFire, I-Code and Atmel cryptoRF and includes built-in USB controller based on ARM7 processor.
It also provides some I/O ports to control external LEDs, SAMs and contact smart card interface.This module provides a useful SDK.
SDK includes test program , sample source code, protocol specification and API manuals. The module is very easy solution for adding the smart card interface on the existing system. Because the module provides USB and TTL-RS232 interface for connecting to a PC or any other host system, it can be used easily.
In particular e-Passport market is the new target of the module because it supports PC/SC mode, high data rates on the air interface(847K), integrated USB interface as well as extended functions. The optimized boot loader enables firmware updates via USB with PCSC protocol and proprietary protocol.DE-ABM4 supports an external antenna(50Ω)designed by user for e-Passport reader and mobile reader and is provided WinCE driver for end application programmer.
